This single-origin, high quality ceremonial matcha comes from the first harvest of the year (May - early June) harvested in Kagoshima, Japan. The hand picked tea leaves from this harvest period are the most tender, bright green + full of nutrients and, after a 3-4 week shading period, create a creamy, bold and rich in Unami flavour that is perfect for your at home matcha.
Ceremonial Grade Matcha is full of antioxidants like catechins (known to provide an array of health benefits), and also high levels of L-thenanine, an amino acid that reduces stress, promotes relaxation and enhances focus (smaller caffeine hit without the anxiety, jitters and crash).
